Third Annual Taste of South Tampa a Record-Breaking Success!
On April 27, 2008, the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce hosted the 3rd Annual Taste of South Tampa in Hyde Park Village. There were many records set on this beautiful afternoon including attendance, sponsors, restaurants and proceeds. Forty restaurants gave samples to over 1,200 attendees as they enjoyed the ambiance of Hyde Park Village, live music and other entertainment.
A portion of the proceeds benefit some very worthwhile charities. This year’s event beneficiaries included the Humane Society of Tampa Bay, who solely relies on fund raisers and donations to operate, the Hillsborough Education Foundation, which enhances Hillsborough County Public Schools and the South Tampa Chamber of Commerce Michael J. Cruz Fund.
